I have been involved in the testing and the microbiological part of the development of Avobit. With my 30 years of experience with horses and my Ph.D in Biology, Jan Krogh asked me to help out with the testing and correction of the products. I looked through all the ingredients. The combination of natual iodine, the salts and the Ph adjusted water, gave the possibility of a bactirial and fungicidal effect due to the combinations of the salts. By application the cells were given a key-ingredient in the cell cycle to speed up healing. When I went through the natual organic substances and an evaluation of these ingredients there was no doubt that this product positively shows something unique, as it did not contain any form of colours, perfumes or preservatives.
I did the tests for bacteria from Thrush, fungus, the small mite and dermatophilus congolensis. Plus the test under microscope. White Line Disease is also tested, tissue samples during the phase of healing has been tested. The result on all were very good. Due to the fact that the salts dry out and take away the moisture from the skin and the infected area, and positively help the cells to speed up the healing process.
I personally have changed from my former porducts to Avobit. Here it is the horseowner who benefits, because it is very efficient, natural, safe and easy to use.
I made some test on the sole of the hoof too. If ammonia is a problem and the sole is exfoliating , the spray neutralizes the the ammonia and the sole becomes firmer.
For the last 4 years I have used Avobit for Thrush and also for any fungul infections on my horses. I can only recommend the Product. I have no fear using the product, and my staff can use the products without risking health. We try to solve our problems without using products containing chemicals with any healthrisks.
Secondly it is always a pleasure to know that there is nothing in the products that can come under the suspicion of doping.

Avobit Thrush Control. It is our oldest product, developed 13 years ago. In Denmark known by vets., farriers and horseowners. A non cemical fluid to care for Thrush. Thrush Control consist of natual minerals and natural iodine. Gently to the frog, and does not cause any pain during treatment.
Clean the hoof and frog gently, to remove any dirt. The best way to apply ”AVOBIT” is to use a piece of cotton wool. Press the cotton wool gently into the cleft of frog. Do not force it. This area could be very sensitive. Use a blunt object to seat and secure the cotton wool into the cleft. Fig. 1, 2, and 3 Then apply ”Avobit Thrush Control” onto the cotton wool, so that it is thoroughly soaked. If the frog is heavily infected, change the cotton daily for the first week, or until the frog has dryed out. When the frog has dryed out, use ”AVOBIT” twice a week to maintain the treatment As soon as the hoof is free from thrush, you can discontinue the treatment.

Avobit DRY. Made to prevent ammoniac and fungus. Preventing ammoniac in the hoof. Clean the hoof and spray it on the sole and the frog, thats it...!!!! can it be more easy.? For fungus in hair arround the area of the hoof, brush the area gently and spray on. Do not wash the area with anyting before just brush. Within to weeks the fungus is gone. Again 100 % biological.
